![]() ![]() ![]() I know that Taylors new pickup system has some sort of sensor in the area of the fretboard extension but I thought it was more to get vibration from the upper bout. Under the fretboard at the 22nd or so fret is also an interesting location. I like your reaction that the sound there is "interesting". I would never have thought of the headstock - yes it is vibrating and some people worry about nut break angles and all of that, but to me that is not a big sound producing area. Most of the time the disc are glued to a part of the guitar that is vibrating - most often the sound board or under the bridge. I'm a little surprised at the locations you have selected for the piezo. A player like Gilmour can use that, mostly its lost on me. This is pretty typical of what I go thru when I play a guitar that has multiple pickup and tone options - I just put together a David Gilmour replica with a total of 7 switch positions and I spend the better part of the evening just going from one to the other to see what I heard. Without knowing anything else about the clips I like the first and third from the last the "best" (whatever that means). Obviously some I like more than others but I'm not sure why, some are much louder than others, some are brighter, some are more mellow, some sustain longer (but then I don't know if you are dampening). I guess I find myself more confused than ever, I really don't know what I'm listening to at each time. Tomasz, I spent some time listening to the clips and trying to figure out what each one was. ![]()
